What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present moment. When you are mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.
What is Mindfulness Eating?
Mindfulness Eating is a conscious approach to eating. It is paying attention to the sensations of the food as you are eating it, your reasons for eating, and how you feel before, during and after eating. It includes slowing down more to chew then usual, and to smell and pause in between bites, are some of the techniques that will be discussed.
Our delicious menu is composed of creamy asparagus soup, a vegan caesar salad with tempeh croutons and small almond pancakes with fresh berries combo and cashew cream, with fresh mint ice tea with raspberry coulis.

Fern has been a chef and owned her own restaurant in New Cumberland; Pete's Old Towne Bar and Grill. Once Fern sold her restaurant her focus in life began to change. She began to get formal training in health supportive cooking by attending the Narural Gourmet Institute's Intensive Chef's Program in New York City. Under the direction of the school's founder, Annemarie Colbin, Fern learned the basics and theories of whole foods cooking. She also became a Certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. This taught her more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. In addition Fern is a Certified Coach Practitioner through the Certified Coaches Federation. Fern studied with numerous and various energy practitioners throughout the country.
