Why did I get into massage?

I didn’t go into the marines. My mother begged me not to go because I’m the type to put myself in harms way to help others and she couldn’t live without me. My mom might as well be my personal saint, so per her suggestion, I went to massage school. It turned out to be the passion of a lifetime. What started with Eastern modalities and energy work, morphed to medical massage and is now circling back for integration.

Why did I become a healer?

Through exploration of my indigenous roots, a lifestyle of helping and a call to paganism in childhood. Early on I discovered I had a knack for healing and protective energy works. My years doing hospice revealed a penchant for my assigned patients to start getting better. Volunteering with individuals with Autism and PTSD at CATRA has fueled a career with a focus on mental health and trauma healing/integration as a way to heal the world.
