Meet Katie McCormick
Katie McCormick began her journey of healing, recovery, and empowerment in 2013. Through divine intervention, Katie was redirected to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she made an active choice of sobriety after many years of battling addiction. With assistance from a loving community on the same path, Katie created a new life through service work, accountability, and change. During these years of actively receiving help from others, Katie began guiding other women who were also seeking a better life free from the chains of addiction.
In 2023, Katie honored herself with a trip to Colorado to celebrate the achievement of 10 years clean and sober. It was during this trip that Katie had a profound spiritual awakening during a live concert amongst the beauty of Red Rocks Amphitheatre. As she listened to the music that once soothed her pain while in addiction, Katie was filled with gratitude. She expressed this thanks not only to a Higher Power, but also to HERSELF. It was at that moment that Katie felt a jolt of energy in her lower spine, firmly connecting her to the ground below and the divinity within. Upon her return home, Katie was divinely guided to Bee Present Wellness, where Jaque Hanson, founder of Bee Present Wellness and The Beehive Mystery School, became Katie’s mentor through the unfolding of awakening.
Katie is trained by Jaque Hanson as a Shamanic Usui Reiki Level 2 practitioner and has attended 22 months in The Beehive Mystery School, where she has learned many sacred practices such as Kundalini Yoga, breathwork, indigenous practices, workshop creation, and Advanced Energy Work. Katie quickly knew that she was being called to implement these practices into her daily life for her own healing and empowerment so that she may share this work with others.
A welcomed invitation from Nancy Romano, previous owner of Carlisle Bowen Works and current owner of Moringa Sagrada in Ecuador, was accepted by Katie for training in the modality of Emotion Code Clearing. This technique penetrates the subconscious mind through muscle testing to pinpoint specific trapped emotions that need to be released or retrieved for the client’s well-being. It was this modality that made Katie aware of a future career change involving the power of music.
In April of 2025, Katie received the necessary instruction, practice, and attunement for ReikiVoice Certification by Rickie Meryl Freedman, Reiki Master/Teacher at Reiki by Rickie- ReikiSpace & Learning Place. The evocative practice has empowered Katie in self-expression of her own creative life force through singing, toning and humming light.
Katie has enrolled in the Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy at Soundwise Health Associates, LLC, founded by Lana Ryder, Owner and Senior Instructor. She is also under guidance from instructors Ken Ebert and Monica J. Mullen. This six-month program teaches the power of sound therapy through vibrations and tones, creating entrainment within the mind and body. With precise techniques and exploration of various instruments, sound creates deep relaxation, opening the body to the potential for healing emotional wounds, stress reduction, pain relief, mental clarity, focus, and raising consciousness.
Katie is driven with a purposeful intention to embrace her client’s needs with compassion, acceptance, and FUN! Healing can be more than a long session of talking about our past hurts, but rather an opportunity to embrace all parts of life as a gift with important lessons along the way. Nothing in life is wasted, according to Katie. Her perception of life has shown that life didn’t happen to her; it happened for her. Embodying this concept has launched Katie into her authentic self with the hope of helping her clients do the same.
